I have had a really bad display on my MacBook Pro 15" Matte since I got it. The problems were a bunch of grey spots on the left and right of it. Also the battery capacity was fluctuating a lot, going from 96% capacity to 70% capacity to 90% again. Another problem was it was getting very hot in its sleep.

I sent the MacBook Pro in on the 11th, they received it on the 13th and sent it out on the 15th, I received it today on the 16th. Apple replaced the LCD, the top case assembly and the battery. I was surprised that they didn't replace the motherboard, but very pleased with what they did replace. I received the MacBook Pro in great condition and it looks like they took very good care of it.

Overall, I am very pleased with what they have done, but a little disappointed that they did not replace the motherboard. (What I would assume is the source of the heat issue) This assures me that the $350 that I spent on AppleCare is worth every penny for this great support that they gave me.

Am I the only one who saw this thread title and at first thought you meant "was" as in AC used to be good and now you were having a problem with it? :D

Im glad for you. My experince was the exact oppostie. My MBP was returned scratched, dirty and with 75% of the problems it left with. I have really liked Apple up until upgrading to the intel Macs. It's sad.
