Bought some kosher Applecare cheap from Ebay - sealed package and just tried to register it with Apple for my Mac pro.

Asked for proof of purchase etc

As I bought it from Ebay, submitted that, Paypal etc - hope ok.

Never had problems before or been asked for proof.

Mmm - that thread is a year old but seems folks having problems. I bought a sealed box with serial no etc so I hope its ok.

It seems there was some to and from from Apple

And "new" versions of the plan without techtool and "old" version with techtool disk (that's the one I have)

Apparently the new versions go through without hassle

I could understand Apple's position if I'd bought a code but if I have a legitimate box...

Can we please not post things like this? I have my sources and I would prefer Apple not start caring or knowing how we attain their overpriced (should be included) warranty.
