i was just reading someone elses topic, and i came across a post saying that you can buy applecare independently of the computer. for example you can buy the applecare from a third party such as amazon. will that cover the computer or what???

. As long as the registration number has not already been used, you can purchase the AppleCare Warranty from anywhere. You literally get a box that has a pice of paper in it with the registration number on it.

Bought mine for my Mac Mini for less than half of what Apple wants from someone on ebay. Registered with no problems.
