I was thinking of getting Applecare on my Mini and if I buy the iMac, but is it worth it, and how quickly does Apple usually repair stuff, I would hate to spend money on a Warranty and have to wait more then a day or so for a repair. I would actually consider buying a second Mini for parts and use it as a Media Server, but not so much if I buy an iMac.

Thanks

Do it. My iMac's hard drive just failed exactly 1 year and 1 week from the date of purchase. I'd say the peace of mind is worth it. They had mine back in 3 days.

When I bought my Mac and after reading the posts here, I bought Applecare the first thing. I don't know of anyone who can repair the imac like I did for someone to repair my PC

I understand it is all seperate issues about the Warranty and Parts, but I have never had to use Apple to get something repaired, and I am wondering if iMacs take longer to repair then any other type of Mac, also I am not a big fan of buying extended warranty's only because of the added cost if nothing goes wrong, but then again it is like Sea Tow, better to have it and not use it then need it and not have it :D

Well that was easy
