Alright
my situation is kind of convoluted
I purchased a 24 inch iMac roughly a year ago. I had a problem with my display
I would get fingerprint-like marks on the inside of my screen. This happened 3 times, so eventually Apple gave me a new computer.
However, with my new computer, the same problem is happening again. I have no idea what is going on, and neither does Apple. My computer is in a smoke free, regular temperature room. After my problem with my first iMac, I set up my new computer at the opposite end of my house, to try and eliminate any environmental factors. I called Applecare yesterday, and after an hour on the phone, they basically told me all I could do was bring my computer again to an Apple, store, and see what they say.
I looked up the conditions of Applecare, because I have a feeling that Apple is not going to do anything for me. The conditions say that the protection plan is void if there is physical abuse, extreme temperature or humidity, or modification. Other then these spots, my computer is in immaculate condition, with no fluctuation in temperature, no extreme humidity, and I havent modified the computer at all.
My question then is does anybody have an instance similar to this before in regards to Applecare? I just wanted to have some idea of what I should expect tomorrow when I bring my computer to Apple. Not only am I extremely upset that I spent over 1,800 dollars on a piece of equipment that keeps having problems, I am now nervous that Apple will not do anything about it.
Thank you.
