Got a call a little bit ago from 646-802-3800, per caller id, on my landline saying my acc't w/ Apple had been compromised. It was a robot voice on the other end. I could press 1 to speak immediately w/ an Apple rep or call 855-314-9875 if I wanted to call later. I know Apple is just like the IRS and would not call so I opened up my Apple Store app and contacted Support. I got a call back immediately and provided the above info which I was thanked for reaching out to Apple. I'm assuming Apple will pursue this but tell the less savvy to be on the lookout for calls like this.

Sadly my in laws took the call, and went through a whole procedure with the scam artist on the phone to install a remote scanning app on their MacBook... ☹️
When I found out, I wiped the machine, then had them change every password they have.
