I've only owned one AirTag. When the battery ran out, I could not get the cover off to replace it. Tried multiple times, got advice online, etc. It never budged. So, I've never bought another one. I have a couple of Chipolo Card Spots that last a couple years with non-replaceable batteries (they do give you 50% off replacements). I'd use AirTags, but not until I read they've made the batteries more accessible.

If the usefulness of the Airtag is important, don't fall for this closeout price; the new, updated ones will be out very soon. Is the $7.50/ tag saving worth it? I'll wait!
Depends what the new ones will cost. Timmy inflation is high these days 😜

I feel like so many people missed that. A lot of people are going to be confused when they try to use AirTags.
Yeah, I think Apple made a mistake in dropping the "SE" part of the name and naming the new phone a "16", since that can give people the impression Apple added to it all the basic features of the "real" 16 models, though it lacks several, like the SE series before it. The prior "SE" naming convention helped differentiate it from its more capable siblings.

I had trouble at first, too. Just use 1 or 2 of those grippy rubber jar openers. Problem solved.
