Hrmmm is there really no general, let's talk broad Apple thread?

neways, so doesn't it seem like Apple is taking a new pace lately? Everything we seem to have track records for, Apple is moving away from?

iPhone releases in June/July... now September or later?
iOS beta updates, every 2 weeks - we are passed that and still waiting?
iPad 3 rumors of being this year (so not on a yearly cycle)

etc... I'm sure there are a TON more, but it just seems like Apple is shifting, do you think this is because Jobs might be on his way out... ?

I'm sure it seems like the "usual" has been changed, but when you look at the larger scale of things, that "usual" was only so for such a short period of time. Jobs has been king for decades.

All said, they're doing what they do, when it's time to do it.

I think the product design and project lifecycle has a lot to do when apple releases products, updates and what not. They have used WWDC as a jumping point in the past but they're not handcuffed to that.

I see no overt decision or desire to change the pace of the product release.
