I have invited the Apple community moderators and points gatherers to a frank discussion about their behaviour towards users on the forums, particularly those in the huge 2011 MacBook Pro 2011 GPU thread.

I wonder how many will turn up now their moderator friends can't pull their posts?

Hope you're not holding your breath Gav.

It was a test I knew they would fail though, they would be too scared to visit when they don't have their friends deleting and editing posts at will, I know they are all in cahoots with each other.

I'm afraid these points gatherer trolls and their moderator friends who back them up are ruining the forums, though Apple are too for doing nothing about improving the cooling of the 2011 and getting their fanboys on a leash! :D

I must admit, sheepishly, that as an infrequent visitor to the Apple Forums, it took me a while to twig what they were up to, but after witnessing a long-running skirmish between Csound1 and several posters, which generated much heat but no light at all, it became clear that they were attempting to bury the thread in a welter of irrelevant persiflage*. At which point I asked myself why anyone would bother? The obvious answer means, of course, that I am no longer an innocent. What a sad state of affairs.

* My favourite word of the moment. Excuse the grandiloquence.

I have had my fair share of words with Csound1 - he is nothing but an apologist troll who delights in being a jobs-worth annoying the heck out of already distressed enough owners of 2011's and also doesn't have the guts to have a discussion on a place where his pals can't pull the posts. They all crave these points you see under their usernames for answering really easy questions, hitting the refresh button to snipe all the new ones posted. A really sad kind of way to spend your time helping people they make sure to tell the person who has posed the really easy often asked question to say they have solved it to get those precioussss points - saddos!

I like the horrible tricky problems myself to solve and the thank you I get after. There are no points system on macrumors fortunately and sniping idiots I think would not last long on this forum because ultimately they know nothing really difficult about fixing an Apple product. They would soon get found out :D

And looking on the thread it seems they are on a lull again - that has happened more than once when I have put forward arguments to their behaviour they cannot deny, but give them a few days and they will be back up to their old antics because Csound1 and Carl in particular simply can't resist baiting poor angry users about the rules.

They should hang their heads in shame - but they aren't really techs like myself who have angry tearful clients facing them so don't truly care. They only care about their precioussss and rules with their moderator friends to back them up.

If I do see them start their old antics with some of the usual regular contributors who do post useful contributions I suggest everyone refers them to the particular section of this forum without a link - as that will violate their precious TOU and their moderator clique will edit the link out

Recommend reading: Dealing With Disrespect

… Csound1 …

From a 2011 exchange of posts it appears that he and I know each other (and like each other) from somewhere other than Apple Support Communities.

The trouble with pseudoynms: I now have no idea who he truly is, or where that was.

Without looking at anything recent in ASC, and without implying that any person involved in your dispute is more disrespectful than another, I can recommend this:

Dealing With Disrespect

The thing is that when you want to have a discussion on a level playing field about their moderating standards and how these moderators let their friends antagonise users you simply cant. I can't really respect any of them.

So if there is a website that offers solutions to these scenarios:

Where a respectful and engineer user of a 2011 needs to deal with disrespectful points gatherers, moderators, board admins, a disrespectful manufacturer too who in reality put a pair of too hot bits of silicon in a notebook that could not cope with its thermodynamics over the long term. More disrespect on top for making users having to pay for an ultimately flawed refurb board option. Furthermore when this respectful engineer petitions Apple repeatedly to amend the engineering guidelines for the 2011 I get contact from a very nice Irish lady from corporate relations who thanks to their own crazy rules has to give me the disrespectful reply that my 2011 has to fail before they can do anything.

That might help me a bit :D

[doublepost=1504536667][/doublepost]Csound1 is still at it , I have used Apple Discussions since 96 and had great responses from many helpful folks but this time I couldn't believe it! Sarcastic obnoxious little Ba***** I am not famaliar with the inner workings of the site but he did just what you described , sarcastic ,rude , condescending and if you reply with the same as a defense your comment is pulled. Did not see any way to block as after I stated I no longer cared , 6 more comments were added by him and another troll buddy. It's really sad that Apple allows this to continue ( for at least 9 years evidently!) It WAS a really helpful service till the trolls moved in!
