I bought my new iPad Pro, over two weeks ago.

Then, after the return period, the back to school promotion came into effect.

They just allowed me to refund and resell my iPad (it’s perfect, so I didn’t want to exchange) and gave me the gift card.

Further to that, the lovely fella refunded my Smart Folio, and sold it back to me, using the £80 gift card. Thus, it’s only costing me £19, now. I really love Apple, and I have fallen in love with the Pro Pencil.

That’s just smart business. They just won your business which will hopefully be thousands of dollars plus the business of everyone else you talk to about this. Great store and great employees. Thank you for positivity.

I feel "safe" when shopping with Apple.

Their products are expensive, but they bing me lots of joy, so we're both happy.

Yeah it feels much safer to shop with a reputable retailer.
I ran into similar situation before, but I have to talk to the manager of the store instead. It's not a straightforward experience like yours.

They made it seamless when I ordered a white M4 and changed my mind to black when I went to pick up. No fumbling with merch cards or refunds back to the payment methods, just invoice trickery on an iPad. Apple really knows how to take care of the customer!
