While I agree that the price tag is exorbitant, its positioned for the creative professionals, much like the Mac Pro at 3,000 is.
For the consumer who does facebook, email office apps, and maybe dabbling in photoshop, its a whole different story.
Yeah, and I even do some HOME video and photo editing, lots of video conferencing with patients, manage my home and office finances and basically a lot of my business on the computer, AND I'm taking classes through Udemy and Lynda.com to learn iOS programming using XCode, and I still can't see the need for for a Surface Studio OR a Mac Pro. In other words, even for people who do quite a bit more than email, Facebook and MS Word, it's still hard to justify that kind of system. But when you look at the videos, it sure is tempting to pull that trigger!! The worst part is that after showing it off to my friends and family, I'd have to answer the following question: "So what kind of stuff do you do with those drawing/painting apps and that stylus?" And my answer would be, "Um, uh, well, isn't it cool?"
