I think the dust is a reference to DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) i.e. “metal 3D printing”.

It's from the title sequence of the Apple TV series Foundation.

I tried dumping caches and even looked on a device that's never been to apple's website and they all just show a static silent image. Just strange.

Only about 30% of the world knows what you mean by that. I sure don't, because I rejected the Hollywood Industrial Complex about 10 years ago.
