The iBooks come with 256MB pre-installed. To double it to 512 will add $75 to the price, tripling it to 768 will run you another $75 ($150 extra total).

To go from 256 to 1.256 (approximately 5 times the original memory), one will be facing a $500.00 premium. The new math is so intriguing.

Ram pricing is definitely not linear. It won't be anywhere you look. Apple charges a fortune for additional RAM. Buy it elsewhere!
