I was just listening to my ipod, and set it down on the desk to the left my ibook (which is the side with the hard drive) and noticed static crackles from the ipod. 
Of course I immediately separated the two, but was surprised at the thought that the hard drive could have that much an impact on the ipod.
Which brings me to one of my first thoughts when the macbook pro was released:
What is the probability of damage if the magnetic power plug happens to graze across the hard drive?
I can't remember it ever being discussed.
In my mind computers and magnets just don't go together (although the mbp power cord is pretty cool)
