Hi everyone,

I noticed in this picture there is an Apple-style HDMI cable:

I can't find this cable anywhere on their store but noticed that engadget also had the same cable in their Apple TV hands-on article.

I can only assume Apple will be selling this cable soon?

I know it sounds sad and very fanboy-like, but I really want that HDMI cable to go with the Apple TV as it looks nice :)

I realise you can get cheaper HDMI cables elsewhere however I'm just asking about this specific Apple one as I've noticed it in two separate places, but can't see it on their store.

It's called product art. It's all rendered on a computer and not actually a real picture taken with a camera. That cable has never existed.

The cable does exist, I've seen shots of it on engadget, I'll try and get them. But I was thinking the same thing, it's extremely similar to an iPod charger cable except black and hdmi.

Here you go, Its deffinetly made by apple, but would apple make enough just to use without planning on selling any?

Apple $79
MP $7 a number of colors and shipped to your door.

Wondr if apple will try to force MP from selling inexpensive HDMI cables

I'll be damned, it is real! Either way, if they aren't selling it on the store right now then it will likely never be sold. Maybe they played with the idea of selling one and decided to not enter the HDMI cable market. I can't blame them for that honestly, we already have tons of overpriced HDMI cables out there.
