Well Ive had my macbook for about 8 months now, and its been back to Apple three times now ...
I had to take it in this friday as a CD managed to get stuck in the drive and wouldn't eject - just before I took it in I actually managed to get the CD out, but only with slight force.
So I took it into the store and they said it should be fine and they'll fix it, got a call yesterday saying that there is physical damage to the metal sheild in the bottom case, a piece of metal that is that can only be accessed from the inside of the machine ... so surely either someone whos been inside the machine has done this (an Apple Genius), or it would have cracked the outside plastic case. This means as its physical damage its not covered under the warentee and so they want to charge me £70 labour + parts to fix it!!!
Anyone else had this problem, know anything about it? I'm getting less and less happy with Apple atm.
