I’m not sure if it’s an AppleCare+ thing or not but I set up the replacement online and there was no fee. I was under the impression that there will be a cost even with AppleCare+.

I initially tried to do it through the app but it only gave me the option to message somebody about the issue. The rep I was chatting with was asking me to mail in my AirPods so they can replace the ear tip. I knew that wasn't right so I ended the chat and tried again on my computer. There, I was able to select "replace an AirPods or ear tip" , 'replace your AirPods pro ear tips", then "order replacements".

That’s strange. I thought they were $3.95 a pair.
I just tried to order another replacement set of tips and it’s showing that they would be free again even though I just received a set of replacements.

I’m at support.apple.com. Select AirPods, select replace AirPod or an ear tip, replace your AirPods pro ear tips, order replacements. This is all on a desktop computer.
Do you not need to return the original damaged pair in the box? Otherwise they might charge you.
No. The repair status says in bold "No part return required. Your repair is completed".
Apple will always go above and beyond to delight their customers. It's always good to hear stories like this.
now that my AC+ is active and not still "elaborating" i see 0 as well.
Could you please confirm me that your AC+ hasn't been touched with these order?
Do you still have your 2 repair included in the AC+?
The two repairs included with AC+ cover accidental damage of the actual airpods from handling and will require a $29 fee. Replacing ear tips will not use up one of the repairs. I guess it's just a perk of AC+.
If you're concerned about it you can try calling Apple and asking.
yes, they say it's a benefit for who has the AC+ plan. Don't how many tips we can change. How many days it took the shipping?
I ordered them on a Friday and received them Monday. They shipped them via UPS Overnight Air Saver.
They didn't come in a box like the above poster pictured. They came in an envelope made of recycled material that fluffs everywhere when you open it so open it slowly or over a garbage can. Inside the envelope was the smaller white box that held the ear tips inside.
