are you pleased for apple being well known, not sure if i am, but i'm not saying no, every where you look you see those white earbuds. then when i tell someone with an ipod, apple make computers there like REALLY:eek:., before i liked talking to people about how cool apple was and that they were a computer company ripped of by bill gates. but now everyone has got a cool piece of apple gear, so do like apple being a household name. i'm undicided.

im just annoyed that people still think of Apple's computers as being the G3 jellybean iMacs and still running OS 9 or older. Not many people know about OS X, but im sure if they did, Apple would have a much larger market share.

I'm with you.
Most of the people to whom I've talked didn't know that Apple made computers and hadn't ever gone to apple.com or a retail Apple Store.
It's really gross, considering Apple makes computers first and iPods second. (Even if iPods make up a gross majority of their profits. :p )
And I'm sure there are tons of people forced to use Windows who don't realize there's other choices besides Windows and Linux (which they don't understand).

I'm with Scarlet Fever, too - I'm in high school, and most people used Macs in kindergarten and most of elementary school. They remember beige Performas and OS 7-9 (I forget which ones they had). All they remember for games were Oregon Trail and Kidpix and Number Munchers. They never realized Macs are so much better nowadays.

It's funny you say that because those are three games i do remember playing in elementary school. Oh man that brings me back. I think my old school still has some beige macs, as well as an imac g4 for the teacher. Funnily enough, i think the teacher minimized the dock so the little kiddies cant access it easily. Yeah i really didnt have a high opinion of macs until i started to visit the apple stores and try out those pretty white computers. I was certainly wowed by the 30 inch ACD.

I love how popular they're becoming. I just wish they would have gotten more recognition for OS X rather than the iPod.
which is funny, because the GUI on the colour iPods is designed on OS X, with the aqua sliders and spinning thing in the top left corner when connecting to a computer
