I was looking to upgrade my MacbookPro16,1 to a silicon. I recently had to replace the logic board on this (1k). I figured Apple knows I've taken good care of this baby. But imagine my surprise when Apple offered like 679.00 for a trade-in 😜

Is this normal? I know I can look elsewhere, i just wonder what other's experience/opinion is about this.

An after-thought, is that trade-in at time of sale is convenient, folks are more apt to accept a lesser value during the purchase.

Yes, Apple is robbing us with their ridiculous trade in prices. For my 2017 iMac Pro, they are giving $600, but they also are selling the same model refurbished for $5,000.
