Amazon feels threatened for its Kindle by Apple's upcoming e-book friendly tablet.

Amazon will improve the hardware, and also enlist software companies to create an Apple app store like distribution system for its Kindle. Distribution will be through the Amazon online store, and the software companies will keep 70% of the sales.

Comic books and games will also increase the usability range of the Kindle.
