Apple's US Market Share at 6.1%

Gartner and IDC say that HP passes Dell for number one in the worldwide market share competition, as both sit at 16-17%. But Apple grew its US market share to 6.1%

This on the same day that Gartner says that Apple should get out of the hardware business and sell it to Dell.

It would be interesting if they took the number 3 spot from Gateway. I believe that would shock a lot of people though they would deny that it meant anything.

I wouldn't doubt that that happens by this time next year. We'll see what Apple has in store for us product-wise in 2007.
