Hi All

Has anyone tried connecting Apple's USB Superdrive to the iPad on iOS13 yet?

Im curious as to whether it would have any basic functionality.

Of course, I'm not expecting you to be able to rip CDs into the Music App, or be able to burn a CD from a playlist in Music...

But perhaps it could read a data CD in the files app, and maybe play back a movie file directly too.

One big stretch is whether it would play a movie DVD via the TV app (highly doubtful!)

Anyone tried any of the above yet?

You're not likely to be able to power the Superdrive when connected to an iPad. The Superdrive has nonstandard power requirements, so the only remote possibility to run it would require plugging the drive into a powered USB hub.
