Just updated to 11.3.

I have a couple of simple "display dialog" Applescripts saved as apps that I have Calendar trigger a few times every day to remind me to do some repeating tasks.

They've always worked well, but with the update, the dialogs are now often and randomly appearing without being summoned.

I even tried deleting the trigger reminders in Calendar, but they still keep appearing!

Very annoying.

Anyone know what's going on?

I have a similar problem following an 11.3 update - a calendar triggered automation script triggers at 5pm as intended, then repeats, first at 17:31, then 18:15, then 19:00, then 19:45 .. so it seems to have settled into a 45 minute repeat cycle. Not good as it is only supposed to run once to update daily stock prices.

Would be grateful if anyone knows a solution or workaround ..

S, I feel your pain.

In fact, I got so tired of the dialogs popping up (what seemed like) every ten minutes that I've abandoned them completely and gone for timed everyday Reminders.

I've set these to remind me to use a particular keyboard shortcut to trigger a simple Alfred workflow.

But it would still be great if one of the deep thinkers around here could tell us what's going on with 13.1 and scripts. It's really wonky.

My script has been running every 30-45 minutes all through the night and through the day. I deleted the calendar trigger and rebooted the mac and it still ran, but now every 8 minutes. For now I have put a guard in the script that kicks it out if it tries to run before 17:00 or after 17:30, but I will have to beef that up with 'has it run today? successfully? then don't run again' logic if this continues.

I would really like to know how to make this work as intended - once a day.

S, looks like we're in the wrong place for any insight into this problem. Have you posted about this elsewhere?
