Hi Everyone,

I'm pleased to announce the release of our first app, CrunchThis!

The objective of this game is for the player to determine the correct equation that results in the target number. The player may only use each number provided once, and may use the operators as many times as they need. To change the target or the number of digits available for "crunching", the player presses the info button for the secondary view. If the player believes that there is no solution, they may simply press "NEW" to start another game.

Looks like an iPhone version of a game on the TV show Countdown.

While an interesting concept, I'd have thought it would be better to have a random number generated for the target, by pressing a button on the screen, rather than having to go into a separate screen to input manually. Likewise, pressing another button would then give the digits to use (the number of which could be configurable in the other screen). Then you could add another element to show how far away from your target your answer is (and this could be recorded along with the time, though I think a configurable time limit would be better than an open ended timer.

Just some thoughts.

Awesome suggestions. Someone else also suggested the RNG. Definitely appreciate the suggestions!

To refine further, target in range 1 - 999, 5 numbers used in equation comprising random mix of 1-9, 25, 50, and 75. Then set the timer and see how close you can get to the target.

This our very first app... That the the initial impressions are positive and that further refinement is wanted is great!
