AppleTV: Buy now or wait until January?

I've got about $100 in Best Buy gift cards I received as early holiday presents I'd like to use towards an TV. My birthday is next month (Jan. 21) and there's a chance I might get some more.

My question is pretty straight forward: should I buy now or wait till after my birthday?

Of course the underlying question is also whether anyone here thinks there a chance of a hardware revision in January that would make waiting more important?

no idea when they'll update myself, but i've been waiting for awhile for apple to give it a significant upgrade. as soon as they do, i'm selling my popcorn hour and buying one.

You have to be kidding. You really think anyone here can read the "tea leaves" at Apple ? Who knows ?
