If you find yourself getting an error message that says Apple TV can’t be updated at this time. Please restart and try again or something to that effect. The solution is to disconnect the Ethernet cable and try on a WiFi network. Insane bug but it’s an easy fix.

Update: only effected my ATV 4K Gen 1. The Gen 2 updated just fine on Ethernet.

Same problem on my ATV 4K Gen 1. Gen 2 no problem updating. At first it has showed no enough storage, I've uninstalled some games and only getting this error. Switching to WiFi didn't help.

Update - after restore ATV has updated. Although it took long time.

Sadly mine is still stuck on the 17.6.1
Switching to WiFi / unplugging from power didn't help. Any other ideas?
