It's Coming!

The update is being ...updated.

No more... "Your :apple:TV is up to date"

I just checked mine and just got the normal "up to date" message are you sure your network is working?

Yes, my network is fine. I tried just an hour ago and it was up to date. Tried now several times and I'm getting what you see above.

Trailers, YouTUBE and other online assets are working so I don't see this being a problem with my network.

To me this means that they're tinkering with the update mechanism.

It would be good to know if anyone else is seeing this. (I'm at work and can't check mine)

I gotta take off for an hour. It would be nice to find the update waiting when I come back.

Office hours in California end in about 3 hours from now. :D

Yeah, I'm back to "Up to date"....

... well, something is definitely happening. I'm glad I took the photo :D

I must have hit the update just as they were doing something.

Umm, I got that message a week ago.

After resetting my wireless router, it went away (back to no update available).

While I am sure the update is coming soon, I doubt the message you received has any bearing on it.

i have been under the impression, that apple was mailing out CD's to all owners of apple tv "take 1" haha...should be out any day now :) YAY

tried mine about an hour ago est and it took over 3 minutes to tell me up appletv is up to date. Has never taken that long. I'm hoping that means today. Would rather have this then 10.5.2 right now. Want to start renting some HD titles.

My hurry is that my MacBook Pro has 2GB remaining and HD Podcasts are taking up 12GB. Take 2 doesn't require that you download the podcasts so when it arrives, I can free up all that space.

Tuesday is the deadline. If Apple delays it yet again, they're going to look pretty bad.

What's up with all these delays lately anyway? Leopard had to be delayed because they needed to transfer their OS staff to the iPhone. Why don't they just hire more staff to keep up with the new demands that they're facing?
