AppleTV update available

... and so it begins.

Less than 24 hours ahead of the WWDC2012 keynote, Apple updates iOS for AppleTV. It's becoming clearer that an announcement of an Apple Television or at least a precursor to one (a developer API) is going to take place tomorrow.

Are you sure? Apple released an update about a week ago, 5.0.2 (4250). Is that the one you just got?

I've applied the update and nothing different is immediately apparent. Perhaps developers can take a peek at the ipsw file and find any clues to a developer API.

...or we can just wait for the announcement tomorrow.
