No need to AirPlay baseball games now that we can watch them on AppleTV2 directly, but I have a question..

My dad lives in Cali while I am in NY and he has an AppleTV2 also..so will my MLB.TV subscription to watch live games work for him too if he logs onto my MLB.TV ID? Can we both be logged in on our respective AppleTV's at the same time to watch these live baseball games from my paid subscription?

Thanks!

You can probably do it (I've done it in the past with a friend that was in another state), but I suspect that MLB.tv might notice that one IP address is logged in from NY and the other is logged in from Cali. I guess that if they raise a stink about it you can tell them that your dad lives out there and that you often find yourself watching MLB.tv when you visit him. Do this at your own risk, as I'm sure there is some fine print that says that they can cancel your subscription for this.

Also, you should note that they will black out games according to a) billing address zip code AND b) location from where you're watching. In other words, your dad will likely get the Cali games blacked out AND the NY games blacked out. You can still watch out of market games and listen to the NY/Cali games.

Hi!

I appreciate the response. I'm originally from Calif so I have MLB.TV in NY to watch the Angels/Dodgers so that is no problem about Yankees/Mets games being blacked out. As for my dad, I guess he can watch his local teams on TV anyways so this will be good for him because he actually would like to see Yankees games and he is watching from Cali. I would assume they'd give me some warning first on first offense if they weren't happy with me sharing an account with my dad across the country on our Apple TV's? In my defense, both Apple TV's (mine and his) are registered in my name so technically they are both my property.. so if I chose to store my password on both I don't know why it would be wrong anyways?
