I have an iMac G5 with Mac OS 10.3.9 and I'm trying to install Appleworks 6. When installing I get as far as install and then my Mac freezes/crashes. The only way you can then quit or open another application is to turn the Mac off and reboot. (I've tried this 3 times)
My Mac only crashes when trying to install Appleworks, I have successfully installed other applications.

I would appreciate any works arounds that you may have.

How do you install it?

Apple support just published this article, How to reinstall AppleWorks on an iMac G5, Mac mini, or iBook G4, but I'm not sure it applies to you...

Wait, they still make appleworks?!?!?! I thought that was really old. Sorry that i cnt answer you question tho.

I've tried to install it by dragging the installer to the desktop. Also tried to install it directly from the CD. In both cases I get past easy install and then it crashes my Mac.
I am trying to install Appleworks International English.

B.T.W. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
