Duff-Man says....right or wrong aside, Appleworks is considered a "consumer" application and as such is only included om the "consumer" targeted Macs like eMacs, iMacs, iBooks...for the "pro" machines like Powerbooks and Powermacs it is assumed I guess that most will shell out for M$ Office...personally I think they may as well include Appleworks with every computer though...even if you are a "pro" user you may have a kid or something where Appleworks fits the bill perfectly - OS X *is* a multi-user environment....oh yeah!
