What kind of size increase are we going to see now that the iPad is being released and applications get upgraded to add iPad support?

The increased size is going to eat up needless space on iPhones and iPod Touches. Works out nice for Apple to push people to buy a newer device with more storage space.

Here's an example:
Epicurious 2.0 was just released with the only addition listed of iPad support at 8.8MB versus the previous version 1.1.0 at only 3.4MB. Not that big of deal but this is a small app. What about games and other larger applications that could grow quite a bit with iPad support added.

I agree, saw 3 or 4 updates, a couple of games on my iPhone tonight all with iPad support and my first thought was how much extra space they are using up on my iPhone.

The next round of iPhone updates will probably bring capacity updates equal to those of all the iPads, so that'll help for people updating.

Maybe this is one reason Apple added the 128kbps AAC syncing option.
