macOS Application timer/benchmark/CPU Usage etc.

Hi,

I was wondering if there is an application that can tell how much another application ( the one I am building right now ) uses memory, CPU and so on while its running over an amount of time. I know Activity Monitor can tell me that, but I would rather have something that averages the numbers over a period.

Seconded on Instruments. It really is one of the best tools for tracking what your app is doing over time. I'm still waiting for a Windows equivalent.

Then if you need to analyze performance specifically (rather than general application behavior), Shark is your best choice for most cases.
