I'm looking to add the same text to a bunch of images. Ideally in a batch. Does anyone know of any OSX applications or websites that allow this?

Photoshop can do it. There is an extension called Adobe Watermark Plug-in that will allow you to create a watermark, which can be text and batch process. I have used it and it works well. I am using it with PS CS6. You can choose the font, font size, position and many other settings. I have posted some screenshots below to show you the many options you have with this plug-in.

Hi,

The Photoshop method shown above is probably the simplest way. You might want to look at creating some Photoshop actions, then a droplet.

However, if you want to be a bit showoffy and you're comfortable with the command line then then you could take a look at ImageMagick:

...with a bit of messing with Automator you should be able to get it to batch process images.

Good luck!
