application to transfer music

I just bought a new hard drive and would like to transfer my music from my iPod to my Macbook, however all the programs I once used don't seem to work anymore and my only guess is because of iOS 5, are there any programs (Mac or Windows) that will transfer iOS 5 music?

There are ways, but it's much, much easier to copy them from your old hard drive and/or computer.

Do you not have the original files anymore?
