Application windows do not open!

I am having a super weird issue with my MacBook Pro 14 inch all of the sudden.

When I open any software it is working fine but as soon as I click the red dot to close them to the dock and I want to open them from the dock again, the application window is no longer appearing! Only the task bar changes to the software but the window with the actual software is not launching. This happens with any software. If I only minimise the window, it is opening the window again but a soon as I click the red dot to close them to the dock, the app no longer opens the window. I also cannot close the app completely anymore. Restart did not fix it either ...

As you can see in this screen shot, I have opened WhatsApp, it is also running in the Dock and the taskbar changes but the interface (the window) of the actual software does not appear.

edit: great, now the yellow dot to minimise isn't working either. I have to force quit any app to launch it properly again, each time I put it to the dock

Doesn’t the red circle with the X close the window? Once closed, you need to create a new window to see anything. The yellow circle is for minimizing the window and it should restore when you re-enter the application.

It is a bug of beta 12.5 beta 5 apparently. Fixed it by going back to 12.4
