I am trying to figure out why my battery is draining slow. I started to take off 3g network since im not searching online when I use my phone most of the time, Should I take wifi off too?, Also, I have some applications, what is the proper way of exiting so it turns off instead of running in the background?, Just want to make sure im not nuking my battery while not even using the phone.

iPhone apps do not run in the background

But they're not closed properly either. To close an app fully hold down the home button for 4-8 seconds, or until the app dissapears. Then the app is completely closed.

Ok, cool, So when you press the home button, your closing the application?, Just wanted to make sure. Also, How do you delete certain phone calls from your histroy list but not them all?, All I see is a button that clears the whole list.

No, HOLDING the home button closes them fully. pressing it briefly is like closing a window on OSX. the app's idle but still resident. But for all intent and purposes, pressing it briefly is good enough :)

you'll notice that if you press it briefly and then return to the app, you're at the screen you last had open. If you press and hold, you go back to the default/first screen.

Thank you for the advice, When I hold the home button, I see it fully close, compared to idle, thats what I needed to know. Thank you all!
