I think I screwed up pretty good, and I hope someone can help. I was in activity monitor trying to figure out why my Mac was sluggish, and tried to stop a process from an app I had running in the background. Well perfect storm, as I was about to click stop process, my external mouse went crazy, clicked a different process, and being the idiot that I am, wasn't paying attention and stopped it. After I stopped it, I noticed my Applications folder wasn't loading, it has a loading wheel that doesn't stop. I know the apps are in there, but are only visible in terminal. In the other applications folder, my downloaded apps don't appear. Also, my Mac keeps freezing doing simple tasks, like trying to open finder, logging out, restarting, or shutting down... I opened in safe mode and that was a nightmare, nothing worked. I opened in recovery mode and re-installed Monterey, but the problem is still occurring. Is this something I can fix? or am I going to have to do a factory reset hoping that works?
