applications wont work.

I have downloaded about 15 misc appliations on my 1st gen iphone. I downloaded the 2.0 software the day it came out and had zero issues down loading the apps or using them. Then today I try and access them and I get kicked to the main screen.

Also I have tried to download new applications now the price is showing up in Japanese money. I am living here in Hawaii... I get an error that says this Your account is only calid for purchases in the US iTunes Store.

Any ideas?

I restored my iphone back and have uploaded the newer version 2.0.1 and still no luck with this. Crap is pissing me off.

Apps Not Working

I got my phone the other day and have installed two apps both are having the same problems as you are seeing. I click on them and it goes to a page that looks like a browser window but only half loaded then goes back to the main screen and doesn't load.

Fix

Found this on the apple support forums and it fixed the issue for me..

@ Remove all apps from iTunes
@ Remove all apps from iPhone
@ Reauthorize iTunes
@ Login to iTunes Store
@ Click on your user name on the upper right
@ Click 'Sign out' on pop-up window
@ Close iTunes
@ Open iTunes
@ Log in to iTunes Store
@ Buy a few free apps
@ Synch these apps to the iPhone
@ Should be working!

^ ok now what if you CANT uninstall then reinstall the apps... because they COME with the phone...... im having the same problem but with Photos and Camera.... they open and load for about 2 seconds and then kick me back out to the home screen! Need Help!!!!! the idiots at Rogers (canada) are clueless

They'll let you do standby but you may or may not be seen.

I'm getting fed up with my $300 non-working new toy.

hey all.... so after about an hour on hold with rogers iphone support.... a lady walked me through some steps to restore my iphone... note, it ERASED EVERYTHING but at least it seems to be working flawlessly now WITH 2.0.1. soo if ya'll want to try it out... its basically just a format of the iphone.... go to Settings > Gerneral > Reset > ERASE ALL CONTENT AND RESET SETTINGS!
the process takes about an hour to complete (you will be promted) and when it comes to plug it into itunes and SET UP AS NEW iPHONE. if you have 2.0.1 installed on your computer than it will automatically update your phone. yes you will lose everything including contacts... but at least everything works and even works faster!! backups are super quick sync is a bit faster i noticed too! so for now im happy! dont know if this will help any of you but its worth a shot!
