I picked up a Marware Protection Pack for my MBP today. Seems it does not have any instructions. I pretty much get the idea of how to put it on, but does anyone have any tips or tricks?

Thanks

having never applied one, i have no tips or tricks, but look at the comment section on Apple's website for your product.

there are a lot of commets from people who wish they would have done it the right way the first time and give advice.

hope this helps!

I have you covered.

Step one: Take malware disk in dominant hand.
Step two: Throw malware disk into wall or dog's mouth (trash cans are also acceptable).
Step two (alternate): Sell to Windows user, preferably marked up.
Step three: Rest easy, as there is no chance of you being affected.

Seriously, there is purportedly some malware for Macs, but what are they and what do they affect? And why has the Mac community not raised concerns over it? Because it is virtually (no pun intended) irrelevant. Sleep soundly and browse widely, my friend.

Edit: For OS X or a Boot Camped/Paralleled Windows OS? THAT makes a difference on whether or not you're really, er... safe.

eh.... i think he was talking about protecting the hardware (see http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=3C2BA53D&nplm=TJ547LL/A)

personally, with a MBP, you shouldn't really worry too much about palm rests etc.
it's aluminum, the same stuff used to build car engines and airplanes.
i've seen MBP with keys thrown across them and they're still like new.

maybe the trackpad thing if you want, but otherwise i wouldn't bother with some peoples complaints.

it's all a matter of preference really. if you want the padding and "protection" go for it!

Mareware =/= malware
