Hello,

on attached picture - macbook pro 2017 a1708 (illustrative picture) you can spot CPU ready for the new thermal paste. But it has 3 surface areas, I spot on youtube people usually put paste on all three but I also read that one of them is PCH - platform controller hub and this one should be without thermal paste as it could cause transfer of heat from CPU to PCH and damage it.

QUESTION: Is one of them really PCH? And should I avoid putting paste on it? If yes, which one is it? Please comment based on attached picture wherewe can see A) left one B) Middle one C) Right one
