Apps closing spontaneously, what is going on?

Ok so this just started happening on my wife's 64gb wifi iPad, and was first noticed while playing TW Legends but now she is seeing it happen in Safari as well. What happens is the app will just close...in Legends it seems to mostly happen when you hit a text field (when buying or selling items for instance) and it brings on the keyboard...it will close the app. My wife says it has happened in Safari when she was doing a search so I wonder if it was while the keyboard was opening or closing.

Has anyone else seen this? Is there a root cause? Fix?

have you tried resetting the iPad? could just be a fluke.

No we haven't...didn't even think about it. And when I googled how to do it I saw it telling me how to turn it on and off too...we haven't ever even turned the thing off since it was purchased...I thought you just hit sleep when you were done and you were all good.

I will reset it now and see if that helps.
