Apps Crash When Opening

I looked to see if there was another thread on this. I couldn't find one, so my apologies if this has been addressed already.

I upgraded my 1st Gen iPhone to 2.0 on Friday. For some reason, starting today (Tues), whenever I try to run one of the apps it immediately crashes and returns to the home screen. All of the regular iPhone modules work fine.

Will I have to restore the phone firmware or does anyone have another fix?

Delete the app(s) and re-download them from the App store (you will not be charged a second time)

I tried shutting the phone off and back on, but it didn't work. I'll give it a shot...thanks
