Hello,

1password was accidentally uninstalled from my iphone. I reinstalled it, but all my data is gone. For a security/password program I find that too easy to wipeout what information you may need. Is this the same for all iphone apps or is this a limitation of 1password?

Apple does not allow storage outside of the Application's Bundle, but all that stuff should be in your backups, that is one reason why it takes so long to backup the iPhone.

I only had one choice when I tried restoring. Unfortunately the backup it used was one that was performed while restoring 1password from iTunes. I was wondering if I could use time capsule to restore iTunes so it would restore my iPhone to before this mess.

Don't you sync with the dekstop version of 1Password? It would all be there if you do.

true about syncing with the desktop 1password. I was evaluating the iPhone app to see if I wanted to buy into the whole 1password architecture. This way of storing the data is something I'll have to get used to as my linux PDA always kept the data separate so I could delete and install apps without affecting the data.

I found from another thread that the backups are stored at /Users/<username>/Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync/backups. I found the directory and I can see the multiple files it generates.

This was great news because it meant I could restore the iphone from any timeline. The bad news is the that time machine does not backup MobileSync! I can't find it under ApplicationSupport in TM! What's the use of TM when I can't restore a directory that I need!
