I’m using iCloud on both my 4S and my iPad but when Iinstall an app on my 4S; it doesn’t appear on my iPad. I expect it’s just somesetting that is wrong on one or both devices and or on iTunes, but I’ve checkedin iTunes, preferences/store and all the boxes are ticked for automaticdownloads.

I’ve also went into Settings/store (on my 4S) and music, apps, books are all switched on. All other aspects of iCloud work perfectly on both devices, for example, if I create a note on my iPhone it automatically appears on myiPad and vice versa. Also if I take a picture on my iPhone it appears on myiPad.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've had some issues with downloading apps on one device and not appearing on the other. The other day I was adding apps to my iPhone and when I went on my iPad all my apps had been deleted and the ones I had recently downloaded to my phone added, I wasn't to pleased to discover this.

I'm sure Apple will work out the bugs in time I have faith and patience.

Thanks DouchGod.

I had a separate login/id for my iTunes/app store purchases to my iCloud log/id. I merged them on iCloud on my PC thinking that this could have been the issue but alas I still have the problem. So at least I know now, with the iTunes and iCloud login's been the same, there is less room for error than having two separate/different logins as before.

I spent a lot of last night thinking about the problem, and I remembered the following:

*
Thinking back a few weeks ago. I have the Freeappmagic app. Well one of the free apps a few weeks ago was a game. Now I'm almost certain that after I had downloaded it on my iPhone, later in the day when I switched wifi on, on my iPad, the game appeared on the iPad. I went to the app store just now and looked for this game, and I noticed that this game has a seperate iPhone and iPad version.
*
But most of the time when I download an app on my iPhone it doesnt appear on my iPad. I expect that iCloud/iPad is picking up that most of my apps I download on my iPhone are not true iPad apps (by this I mean, there is no seperate iPhone and iPad versions of that app) and as such it doesnt download them onto the iPad.
*
That's the only explanation I can think of as to why most of the apps I download on my iPhone do not appear on my iPad.
*
All other aspects of iCloud work perfectly fine, such as creating a note on the iPhone, it then shows up on the iPad, creating a contact on my iPhone, it then shows up on the iPad, taking a picture on my iPhone, shows the same picture on my iPad's Photo's app. So all other aspects of iCloud are working, so perhaps what I mentioned earlier/below has some bearing on the problem.
