I have a similar complaint that I think may be related: I frequently have apps I've uninstalled from my phone reinstalling when I wifi sync. Anyone have any ideas?

Turn off auto downloads in iTunes.

Turn off app syncing in iTunes.

So you're saying that if I install an app on my iPhone and then delete it, iTunes will download it the next time iTunes is opened and then will sync the app when I sync even though I have deleted it on my phone? Seems silly.

And if I turn off App syncing, iTunes tells me that it will remove all apps from my iPhone. That doesn't seem much of a solution, to me.

I've gnoe through and deleted apps off of my iphone AND itunes and when I look under iCloud management it gives the option to backup the appdata for this app?

Man, apple really needs to get on the ball with apps and syncing with itunes, confuses to many people.

Connect your device and in iTunes go under apps for your device and uncheck the apps you don't want.
