Check out Evernote or Wunderlist.

Also, if you need a quick list tool, Clear is great for that. You can do multiple lists very quickly. Great interface as well.

my school doesn't allow iPads and iPhones in school so I'm looking more for an organizer rather than a note or list app because i would be using it before and after school

You could also try "Any.DO". It is a great organization app. Also, great easy to use interface. Not for iPad (yet). Check it out.

You can create multi-choice quizzes and flashcards for any class. The app itself organizes these quizzes into your classes. So maybe this will hit 2 birds with one stone.
