Apps not able to work on iPod touch!!

I have an iPod touch running software verson 1.1.4 and I can't add apps. I just downloaded iTunes 7.7 and there is no application tab when the iPod is selected. All of the other tabs are there: summary, music, movies, etc. HELP! I wanna use the apps I downloaded!

U have to have the 2.0 firmware

You need 2.0 firmware which will cost $10 when it's available tomorrow.
