I had a problem yesterday with my jailbroken iPod so i restored it back to 3.1.2 and then re-jailbroke it with blackra1n. Ever since that any apps of mine that I ssh onto the iPod do not show up on the springboard. The only way i've been able to get them to show up is to reinstall mobilesubstrate each time I ssh the app but this means i have to reboot the iPod and because i have a 3rd gen iPod i have to re-run blackra1n (which means I have to reboot into Windows each time i change the app) so this is not really an option. I didn't have any problems like this before. Anyone have any ideas before I take a hammer to my iPod, its really pissing me off.

I have to. I don't have a mac so I do my dev on Linux. I just restored and only installed ssh and ldid and still not working

I've noticed that if i go into iFile after SSHing and recursively set the owner to root and group to wheel and respring using SBSettings then the app appears but does not launch. In my makefile ive added the line 'chmod -hR root:wheel /Applications/ViewTest.app' which should do the same as iFile does, does not work and the app still does not appear.
