I have several apps that I bought at the iTunes store from within iTunes 8.01 and they downloaded to my Mac and are showing up in iTunes under Applications. They also show up in my iPod Touch Applications Sync list and are checked. I have synced repeatedly. Yet some applications do not show up on my iPod Touch when I go to use it.

I have tried doing the iTunes:File:Transfer Applications...

I have searched in the archives here and on Google but not found a solution. Ideas to fix this?

have you forgotten to authorize your Mac? and are the apps under the same itunes account? if so you must authroize all of your accounts. I have had problems with multiple accounts before and now I have resorted to just one.

Thanks for the idea but that isn't it. Turns out there is a limit of a mere 9 pages of apps. Apple needs to expand that. Frankly, we need hierarchical filing just like on the Mac. F-o-l-d-e-r-s... Wow, what a concept. This is 2009. Old tech. Get with the millennium, Apple.

I'm doubt you need more than 9 pages of apps on your phone at one time. you could probably find at least 2 pages of apps the you never use and can't remember when you actually downloaded it. If you want folders then jailbreak.

9 pages problem

I myself have reached the 9 pages limit relatively early after getting the iPod Touch by installing free apps and webapp links.
About 2 months ago I told Apple about the 9 pages problem when installing a new app.
They might already work on it (e.g. by integrating folders).
;)
